Tripdelia Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

Tripdelia ("the app", "we") is a trip-planning app by Idelia Travel. This policy explains what information the app uses, where it goes, and the choices you have. The short version: Tripdelia has no accounts and keeps your trips on your device. The app uses anonymous analytics to understand how it is used, and — only if you allow it on iOS — measures which of our ads brought you here. Tripdelia never shows you third-party ads.

Data stored on your device

Everything you create in Tripdelia — trips, itineraries, saved spots, lists, expenses, budgets, travel-style preferences, and references to photos you attach — is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain user accounts. This content is not uploaded to our servers for storage, with one exception: if you choose to share a trip with friends, that trip and its group-chat messages are stored on our servers so the people you invited can see them (see Shared trips and group chat below). Deleting the app deletes the data held on your device.

Details you enter in the optional Travel documents feature (passport or visa numbers, expiry dates) are stored encrypted on your device using the operating system's secure storage. They are never uploaded anywhere and never leave your device.

Shared trips and group chat

Sharing is optional and off unless you start it. If you tap Share on a trip, we upload the trip plan (destination, dates, itinerary, trip notes and cover image reference) and the display name you set in your profile to our servers, and we create a private invite link. Anyone who has that link can open the trip, edit the shared plan, and post messages in the trip's group chat. There is no public feed, no search, and no way for someone without the link to find a trip.

Device-only data is never included in a share: your expenses, budgets, trip progress, travel documents, and the photos you attach stay on your device.

Group-chat messages carry a display name and a random device identifier — not an account, an email, or a phone number. Messages are kept on our servers for at most 24 hours (your own copy stays on your device), and a shared trip is deleted automatically 7 days after its last change. Because sharing is link-based, only send an invite link to people you trust. If you need a shared trip removed sooner, email us with the link and we will delete it.

Data that leaves your device to provide features

To provide its features, the app sends limited data to the following services. None of these requests include your email, phone number, or any account identifier (the app has none).

Analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used and to improve it. It collects usage data such as screens viewed, feature events (for example "trip created"), app version, device model, operating system, coarse region, and an app-instance identifier that is random and not tied to your identity (the app has no accounts). This data is aggregated and is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. It is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Advertising measurement (iOS — only with your permission)

We advertise Tripdelia on Meta's platforms (Facebook and Instagram). To learn which of our ads actually work, the app includes the Meta SDK, which reports events such as app installs and subscription purchases back to Meta.

On iOS this is off until you decide. The first time you finish onboarding, iOS shows you the standard App Tracking Transparency prompt:

Either way the app works identically — tracking permission changes nothing about what you see or which features you get. Meta's use of this data is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy. You can change your mind at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Tripdelia shows no third-party ads inside the app, and we never sell your personal information.

Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are purchased through, and billed by, Apple. We never see your payment details. The app uses Superwall to display the paywall and manage subscription status; Superwall processes purchase events (product, price, currency, a random device-level identifier) for this purpose — see the Superwall Privacy Policy. Anonymous purchase events are also logged to our analytics as described above.

Location

With your permission, the app uses your device location while you are using the app to show nearby places, sort spots by distance, and show your distance to the next stop during a live trip. Location is used in the moment and sent only to the mapping/weather services above to answer your request; we do not keep a history of your locations on any server. You can decline or revoke location access in system Settings — the app remains fully usable with a default city.

Photos

With your permission, you can attach photos from your library to trip days — these stay on your device and are never uploaded. Separately, if you choose to import a screenshot to extract places from it, that image is uploaded once to our AI backend for the extraction, as described above, and is not retained for storage.

Calendar

With your permission, the app can add your itinerary as events to your device calendar when you tap "Add to calendar". The app does not read your existing events for any other purpose.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device (for example, 30 minutes before a planned stop). We do not send push notifications from servers.

Children

Tripdelia is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
